agree with paragraphs 1, 2, & 7. i somewhat agree with the rest except that success does not come easy, my personality is the opposite of overbearing (i.e. people walk OVER me), i doubt the existence of a 'total package', i certainly do not have urges to crush the weak, nor am i a lucky person. conversely, i'm quite unlucky is some respect, things don't always go my way but i'm thankful whatever the result. I don't consider myself greedy (and hope others don't either). Although i possess many 'Type A' traits, i tend to have low confidence/self-esteem, take authority rather than give it, and lean moreso towards passive than aggressive. At what cost, dog breeding.
Well I am sure many of you will have seen the BBC programme last night: At what cost, dog breeding. I am just as sure many of you will have been upset. So I thought Id write a bit about it, only my opinion but hey why not. First of all I hate the hype, without doubt these things are happening its just a shame no one in this whole world seems to take a look at all sides. Now I have a firm belief that we, the public are at fault as are and as far as I am concerned the main people at fault the breeders. To blame the Kennel Club is shifting responsibility, yes I believe they can do more, they also ned to do more to let people know what they have been doing for years to improve the health of all of our dogs and to help in the attitude towards dogs, they do good and Im sure they do harm. I would to love to know the actual figures for dogs bought from local breeders with little thought or care of whether they are KC registered, they cant be responisble for every dog.
